There will still be purists who will prefer listening to records.
But for the most part the real money in the music industry these days comes from live performance.

You still have to pay for music, but you’re buying individual songs adn downloading them straight to your computer. Instead of buying music from Tower Records or FYE people are buying music from iTunes or Napster.

CDs are already done arent they? lol, as long as they keep selling music online and eliminating those who download for free music will stay and USB flash drives will be the future. Thats all I use now, in my car and home stereo. you dont have to worry about them getting scratched. But people just need to remember to pay for there Sh*t. downloading for free will stop you from listening to anything new. Because no one will create it anymore!!!

You’d actually be surprised, I know alot of people who still buy CD’s, myself included. And if people buy their music online as well, the music industry will still make money. The only problem is that people don’t buy their music online they download it for free online, which the music industry doesn’t make any money from.
